Presidents Message

Dear members,

Congratulations to our new Diva, Cathy Wilson and our Peoples Choice award winner

 Sophia Bangart!

You both rocked it! All of our members looked great modeling for our Belk’s Charity

Days Style Show. Thank you Debbie Barron, Bev Bond, and Debbie Freed for organizing

the event.  Fun was had by all. So far we have raised $1,685.00. Belk Charity Day will be

November 5, 2011. So anyone who wants to sell tickets that day please let Debbie

Barron or myself know. Also Debbie Freed or Debbie Barron still has tickets to sell!!

Let’s see if we can raise more money for Scholarships.

November is our month to celebrate the CWJC graduates. Thank you to each of you

who have sponsored a graduate for our luncheon. It is good to be a part of another

organization that is helping women.

Also, at our November Meeting we will have the giving tree, which will benefit the

Bastrop Fire Victims through the Red Cross. And there will be a box for giving to the

state hospital.

November is a time to be thankful for all that we have received. It is time to Share with

others. Thank you for all being so generous.

Christmas is just around the corner! So it is time to get busy selling those raffle tickets!

Each member should have received a packet of ten tickets to sell. If you have not

received your packet, please check with the tables out front at the meeting. Lets sell a

lot.

Also Dee and Dolores are looking for silent auction items. And Sheryl Howard will be

selling tables or individual tickets so get with her also.

Looking forward to seeing you at the meeting in November and have a wonderful

Thanksgiving with your families.

Vicki Roark
